The Holy Shroud - Say What You Are

I think the only thing I don't like about Halifax's North of America reforming is the fact that it may mean the end of The Holy Shroud. During the time that the Nords were taking what was thought to be a permanent break, Jim MacAlpine and Michael Catano teamed up with members of the band Contrived to finalize a project they had been trying to get off the ground since 2003. They recorded an album, "Ghost Repeaters" which to me is just as good as anything North of America have done. The manic guitars, raw vocals and tight off-time rhythms will have Fugazi fans smiling and win over anyone with an ear for mathy indie rock. The whole album is good, but I chose this song... just because.
